Principles and Elements of Design: For this project, I made a matching card game based on smell. I used repetition in the pattern on the back on the card. I also put emphasis on the figures in the center of the cards because they are by themselves. I tried to make them look unified by making the patterns the same, and by making the figures the same size and styles.
Mastery: I think I could have improved on the neatness because the lines aren't as straight as I would like them to be. Also, there are bits of white showing on the edges.
Relate: This project relates to the collage project because with the cards, I created emphasis in the figure because it is isolated and in the center, just like in the collages that I did.

Final Project
Principles and Elements of Design: For this assignment, I painted a scene of a forest and a palace. I used value in the sky that goes from dark blue on the sides to light blue to white in the middle. I also used repetition with the trees and I put emphasis in the center where the palace is because it's isolated from everything else.
Mastery: I think I could have made the trees thicker and I should have made the river more narrow so that it is more realistic.
Relate: This project relates to value portrait project because of the ranging values in the colors.

Nature Art
Principles and Elements of Design: For this project, we used different colored leaves. There is value in the colors that go from light yellow, to orange to red.
Mastery: The leaves weren't strongly connected so they ripped from each other, so I think we could have tried to make the connection stronger.
Relate: This project is similar to the value organic shapes project because we created gradients that range with different colors.
